90 Day Suspension & Restricted Driving Privileges

For the first 30 days you can't drive. After 30 days you may be eligible for a restricted driving privilege (RDP) after filing proof of SR-22 and installing an ignition interlock device.  If so, the Restricted Driving Privilege is valid for 60 days until your reinstatement date. At that time the interlock is required for an additional 6 months for a total of 8 months.

Limited Driving Privilege (LDP/Hardship)

If you are on a limited driving privilege (hardship) with a 10 year denial you will want to hire an attorney to petition the court for your driving privilege. This petition is filed on your eligibility date which is also usually the expiration date of your Limited Driving Privilege. Talk to your attorney about filing a Stay Order to keep your Limited Driving Privilege active until your license is reinstated as the process can take 1-2 months or more.  Remember your car insurance is only valid with a driver's license so keep your-self protected.
